Star Wars Jedi: Survivor received a new update to fix various issues and improve the overall user experience on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor was released on April 28, and this update is the fifth patch released by Respawn Entertainment for the action-adventure game.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is the sequel to 2019’s Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, picking up the story of Cal Kestis five years after the events of its predecessor. Cal is now a full-fledged Jedi Knight but still needs to escape from the Galactic Empire, even if the Inquisitors are not the main villains in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. Despite a few glitches at launch, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor received favorable reviews with players and critics praising its graphics and the overall gameplay experience.

Respawn Entertainment released the patch notes for the latest Star Wars Jedi: Survivor update, bringing various improvements to the PC and console versions of the game. The update provides several bug fixes and stability improvements but doesn’t seem to prevent the method that lets players cheese the final boss of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. This update is expected to deploy on May 17 on PC, with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S players having to wait for the official release date of this new patch.

With this new batch of bug fixes and performance improvements, Respawn Entertainment addresses the main criticism players expressed toward Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, as PC players faced various issues preventing them from enjoying Cal’s story. Some players even encountered game-breaking bugs in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, preventing them from continuing their playthrough or impacting the overall user experience. These issues and other minor bugs should be less frequent as Respawn Entertainment releases new updates to fix them.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor’s director Stig Asmussen announced that he planned on doing a trilogy, so fans should be expecting one more game featuring the adventures of Cal Kestis. While players still have plenty to do once they finished the main story of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, some are already wondering what will be next for Cal Kestis and his friends. A new entry in the Star Wars Jedi series would be the opportunity to bring back popular characters from the Star Wars franchise, offer more impactful choices for Cal's story, or bring even more lightsaber customization options. Some players already found the perfect subtitle for the sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, hinting at the next step in Cal Kestis’ journey.
