When players reach the end of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, they will likely wonder exactly what is on offer in the game's 'New Journey Plus' mode. Like many games out there, the second trip through the main story has several additions to the world to make it feel fresh, like the three new perks that tweak major aspects of combat. However, given that this is a Star Wars game, there is one thing Star Wars Jedi: Survivor has that most other games do not: The lightsaber. As one would expect, Survivor includes two new lightsaber colors for Cal's second journey.

When Cal begins a new playthrough, he will be given access to a red lightsaber blade and a multicolored 'party' lightsaber blade. With how the story ended, and its conspicuous absence from the main game, there was likely no doubt in anyone's mind that Survivor would include a red lightsaber color. What was likely far less expected, was the addition of a rainbow-colored blade. This guide will explain exactly how Cal can get his hands on this multicolored menace, allowing him to take out both raiders and stormtroopers in a much friendlier way.

Unlocking the multicolored blade is incredibly simple. Cal must simply start a second journey in the 'New Journey Plus' mode. He will have to wait until he reaches a workstation to apply the blade, but there is no further action required.

Before Cal can use the Party lightsaber blade, he must first go through the entire Coruscant prologue. It is only after this section that Cal will gain access to the workbench on the Mantis. After that, the process is the same as changing the basic lightsaber blade color in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

While the image displayed in the lightsaber customization menu appears to be rainbow-colored, in reality the blade simply changes color with every swing. This is likely where the 'Party' title comes from, as things can get pretty interesting when Cal is swinging his lightsaber at high speed, alternating colors multiple times a second.

The red lightsaber color will also be available to Cal at this time, offering Cal a small taste of what it might be like had he taken a different path. These two colors are the only additions to lightsaber cosmetics in New Journey Plus, but there is plenty more for Cal to discover as he makes his way through his second quest.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is available now on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
