Hopeful fans of the upcoming Jedi: Survivor are looking at the events of 2019's Jedi: Fallen Order to ascertain what they can expect from the upcoming game. Fallen Order takes place in the early years of the Galactic Empire and the collapse of the Jedi Order following the Clone Wars, providing a more intimate insight into a relatively unexplored era of Star Wars' mainline story.

It has been confirmed that the events of Jedi: Survivor will take place five years after those of its predecessor. The game will still be set in an era where the sinister Empire was consolidating its power by hunting down the surviving remnants of Jedi that escaped the massacre of Order 66, with these few remaining Jedi - including Ahsoka - being scattered around the Galaxy.

Ahsoka Tano in Star Wars: Jedi Survivor

Many fans of the wider Star Wars franchise will be familiar with the character of Ahsoka Tano, as the popular Jedi features more and more in Star Wars media. Ahsoka originally debuted in the successful Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated film and TV show, where she played the role of Anakin Skywalker's Padawan.

Due to this specialized tutelage, Ahsoka grew to become an extremely competent Jedi, opting for the unusual but tactically advantageous style of dual lightsabers. On top of receiving huge roles in the aforementioned Clone Wars and the animated Rebels shows, Ahsoka recently made her first live-action appearance in the Disney+ show The Mandalorian, further pushing the character into the limelight.

Ahsoka is also set to receive her very own live-action show on Disney+, simply named Ahsoka. Given the increasing relevancy and presence that the character has across the wider Star Wars franchise, it makes sense for Ahsoka to appear in the events of Jedi: Survivor. Ahsoka is one of the few Jedi to survive Order 66, and despite leaving the Jedi Order prior to this, she maintained a fair moral compass and disdain for the Empire that saw her help a multitude of other survivors in their fight against the oppressive regime.

This makes Ahsoka the perfect candidate for an appearance in Jedi: Survivor, with her still being active in a fight against the Empire, while also helping surviving Jedi - possibly including Cal Kestis. Other pre-existing characters such as Saw Gerrera appeared in Fallen Order, meaning a precedent is set within the franchise for this kind of cameo. Given the growing acclaim and wider narrative importance of the character, Ahsoka appearing in Jedi Survivor would be a great prospect for many fans.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is expected to launch in 2023 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
