Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order has been out for some time, and as is the case with many older releases, modders have begun to mess around with the game’s code. One Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order mod has added the titular character from The Mandalorian into the game, letting players don the character’s iconic beskar armor.

Following Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order’s nomination at The Game Awards 2020, one dedicated Star Wars fan shared a mod that allows players to assume the role of The Child’s protector. Posted by AlexPo21 on NexusMods, the mod sees Mando’s armor recreated in great detail, from the sigil on his shoulder to the jetpack obtained at the end of the first season. AlexPo21 clearly put a lot of effort into recreating the design, with the character’s cape and ammo belt included.

Perhaps the only downside to the armor is that it functions only as a costume, with Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order’s Cal Kestis still heard under Mando’s helmet. While there is no Din Djarin voice pack available for the costume quite yet, AlexPo21 suggests the use of a Stormtrooper voice pack to simulate Mando’s voice. Even though The Mandalorian has only been added as a costume thus far, the mod’s creator has done a great job bringing the character to life.

AlexPo21 is not content with stopping there, however, as the modder intends to drastically change Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order in another way. Currently experimenting with major gameplay tweaks, such as the inclusion of a functioning blaster and flamethrower, AlexPo21 may make Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order feel like The Mandalorian game so many fans want. With plans in place for a usable jetpack as well, AlexPo21 should certainly be busy modding Respawn’s Star Wars game for some time to come.

For diehard fans of Baby Yoda, the cute green creature is not seen in the mod. With programming The Child’s Egg likely being a big challenging, it would be hard for any modder to include Mando’s adorable green companion. Baby Yoda could potentially ride Mando’s back like Yoda rode Luke’s, but for now there is no sign of Baby Yoda in this mod for Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order. With AlexPo21 having a lot of talent with mods, however, perhaps The Child will make an appearance down the road.

For players in desperate need of seeing Baby Yoda and The Mandalorian together in a video game, they may be in luck. Based on a recent leak, The Mandalorian and The Child may be in Fortnite come season five, allowing the dynamic duo to be seen by an even larger audience.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
