After the launch of Titanfall 2 and then being purchased by EA, news coming from Respawn Entertainment has scarce. The studio has previously revealed that it's working on multiple projects, with one of them being a new Star Wars title being led by former God of War 3 director, Stig Asmussen. Not much is known about the recently titled Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, but thanks to a recent leak making the rounds, fans may now know a bit more about what's to come.

Over on the StarWarsLeaks subreddit, a user known as "Xyzsvtabc" posted new information they obtained after attending a 2019 Star Wars Marketing Presentation by Disney. While the post contains plenty of spoilers for other Star Wars projects arriving next year, the presentation also included a segment the featured previously unreleased details for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.

The game supposedly takes place 5 years after Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, and players take control of a former Jedi Padawan who has survived the initial purge of the Order. The main character, who Xyzsvtabc refers to as Cal in their post, isn't entirely alone during this time and relies on a mentor like figure named Ceres. Longtime fans of the franchise should expect to see plenty of cameos from characters in other media like the Sith Inquisitors last seen in Star Wars Rebels, as well as other Star Wars comic book characters as well.

If true, the biggest news from this leak is that the game is currently scheduled for a November 2019 launch, which would align with previous information from EA. At E3 earlier this year, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order did make a very brief appearance, and while no gameplay was shown, the studio did reveal that the game was being targeted for release during the 2019 holiday season.

What's more is that, the aforementioned E3 presentation did confirm that the game would put players in the shoes of a Jedi following the events of Episodes 3. These details all line up perfectly with what was discussed and presented inside of the recent Disney marketing materials.

While it's unlikely that Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order makes a surprise appearance at The Game Awards later this week, the potential release date seems to confirm that the game will be heavily featured at E3 next year. If so, it could be a very busy June for the developer as recent financial earnings call from EA hinted that the studio could be looking to release multiple games by the end of next year. While not specifically mentioned, many assume this prepared remark could also mean the appearance of Titanfall 3 by next year.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order lacks an official release date, but Respawn is targeting a holiday 2019 release.
