It shouldn't come as much of a surprise that one of the most exciting parts of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is swinging a lightsaber around. The game's combat is challenging and gives players the chance to feel very powerful once they've mastered their skills, but the game system also offers the chance to add some style to the fights. By progressing through the story and unlocking chests around the galaxy, Cal is able to find parts that give him the power to customize his lightsaber in a ton of unique ways.

Many Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order fans are loving this aspect of the game, but players who are just getting started may be a little confused about how and where to make changes to Cal's lightsaber. At the start of the game players will have access to blue and green crystals (and orange with some pre-orders), while other colors, sleeves, and switches will be unlocked later. Making changes isn't as simple as visiting the Pause menu, so don't feel like you're missing something obvious.

To alter Cal's lightsaber, players first need to find a workbench. There are a few of these scattered throughout the game, but the one used most frequently is actually aboard Cal's ship. This particular workbench is unlocked after player's find the Hermit’s house on Bogano. That milestone is a part of the main story line, so don't worry that it's a side quest or something to just find through exploration. It's impossible to skip and doesn't come too far into the game.

There are other workbenches to find, so keep an eye out while travelling around. Also, don't forget to find and open as many crates as possible, so that Cal will have more customization options every time you visit a workbench.
