Although E3 2019 doesn't officially start for another day, or so, the festivities once again kick off with an early EA Play event. As expected, attendees got a first closeup look at Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order and how the gameplay is actually going to work in the upcoming action game from Respawn thanks to 15 minutes of brand new footage.

It's been a rocky couple of years in the world of video games for Star Wars fans with the cancellation of the open-world Star Wars game and the drama surrounding Battlefront 2, but hopefully Jedi Fallen Order will finally deliver the exciting single player, story-driven campaign that fans of the franchise have been begging for. The first cinematic trailers definitely suggested an exciting timeframe and unique characters to explore, so as long as the gameplay holds up, EA may have a hit on is hands.

Although there will likely be much more Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order on stage during the Xbox conference tomorrow night, fans did get a sneak peak thanks to EA Play...

This footage takes place about three hours into the game, so the protagonist has leveled up a bit,  but isn't quite a Jedi Master yet. Takes place on the wookie planet, as Kal is trying to restart the Jedi Order. Throughout the footage we see some trademark Respawn wall running and robe swinging.

In addition to that, we also see some Kal execute a powerful force push and force pull to interact with the environment throughout the platforming. The lightsaber can be used to deflect bullets, slice through enemies, or just to shed a little extra... Well, light, on some dark situations.

Be sure to check back throughout the week for more details on Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and everything else E3 2019.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is scheduled to launch on November 15, 2019 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
