Respawn Entertainment has mostly remained quiet about Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Apart from a confirmation of the game's name and setting, fans have been kept in the dark. However, that's all set to change next month.

Respawn is set to take part in the annual Star Wars Celebration event, which celebrates the movie series and its spin-off media. The studio's panel will take place on April 13th between 1:30PM - 2:30PM ET and will be attended by Respawn Entertainment boss Vince Zampella, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order game director Stig Asmussen, and "many special guests." The panel will mark the official reveal of the game which was announced nearly three years ago.

Zampella, Asmussen, and Co. will reveal how the Respawn development team has been able to collaborate with the team at LucasArts. The panel description also confirms that this an original Star Wars story about "a young Padawan’s journey in the Dark Times following Order 66." However, Respawn will also have "a few surprises in store" for fans to look forward to.

Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order reveal

While Respawn will be doing its best to keep these surprises under wraps until the big reveal, some of the title's finer story details may have already leaked. A major Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order leak from a few months ago revealed that the Padawan protagonist will be named "Cal" and will have a mentor figure named "Ceres." The leak also suggested that there will be lots of cameos from other Star Wars characters, such as the Sith Inquisitors from Star Wars Rebels. The surprises that the Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order developer is teasing may refer to these characters.

Nothing is confirmed for now but fans are eagerly anticipating this Star Wars Celebration reveal. The game has been a long time coming and, with the missteps made with Star Wars Battlefront 2, there is hope that Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order can get the Star Wars game properties back on track.

Respawn Entertainment has also picked up a lot of new fans thanks to the incredible success of Apex Legends, its battle royale game. Apex Legends reviews have praised the game's teamwork, gameplay, and character abilities. With Respawn's increased profile and the Star Wars brand, Stars Wars Jedi: Fallen Order could well be a huge success but it all depends on whether it can deliver the goods at the Star Wars Celebration reveal event.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order lacks an official release date, but Respawn is targeting a holiday 2019 release.
