Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order has three unique skill trees that some players are unsure of how to navigate. But some skills cost more than others, and while the game is kind enough to start players off with a lightsaber, it's still important to understand which skills are the best to invest in right out of the gate.
The skill trees include a Force Tree, a Lightsaber Tree, and a Survival Tree. As players often will be fragile and vulnerable in the beginning of Star Wars Jedi:Fallen Order, they should first consider investing in survival.
In Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Survival Skills is the first ability on the Survival Tree, and will increase Cal's initial health. This increase in health will be noticed by players immediately, especially on the harder difficulties.
This is instrumental as surviving tends to be the biggest challenge in the onset of the game. With the added health, players can now begin investing in other trees.
Force Attunement is the next skill of choice in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, as it increases players' Force Pool. This affords players the chance to better utilize abilities like Force Slow. If players wish to continue on this tree, unlocking Empowered Slow is advisable as it greatly increases crowd control ability, and slows enemies down so they can't block Cal's attacks, thereby increasing both offense and chances of survival.
In the massive world of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, players will eventually be taken to the planet Zeffo, where Cal will remember how to use Force Push. This is a huge step in the development of Cal's skills, as it unlocks various skills in his Lightsaber and Force trees.
Once in Tier 2 of the Lightsaber Tree, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order players should invest in Dash Strike, which will allow Cal to leap at his target. Sprint Strike, another great ability, affords Cal the opportunity to strike while sprinting while Delay Thrust gives Cal some much needed range to his standard attack.
Lightsaber Throw is unique as it is Cal's only real ranged option. It also takes the longest to unlock, but is well worth working towards. Each of these lightsaber abilities is instrumental in building Cal into the Jedi players will need him to face some of the more difficult enemies in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is out now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One
