On Star Wars Day, a Canadian restaurant thought it would be cute to have an employee stand outside dressed up as a Stormtrooper, the day ended with the woman being arrested, perhaps with the Shadows of the Empire soundtrack on vinyl being played in the background.

May 4th is celebrated around the world unofficially as Star Wars Day. Star Wars is probably the largest pulp-culture phenomenon of all-time, as millions around the globe adore the movies and are captivated by the characters, stories, and the world that was created by George Lucas.

To celebrate Star Wars Day, a restaurant in Lethbridge, Canada thought it wise to have one of its employee's cosplay as a Stormtrooper outside of its doors. Stormtroopers have appeared in games like Fortnite, in the movies of course, and are one of the more iconic pieces of imagery when it comes to the films. However, concerned pedestrians noticed her "blaster" and thought it was a real gun and called 911.

Apparently, the people who called 911 had never seen a Stormtrooper before, which is surprising given the sheer popularity of Star Wars. The woman who dressed up as the minion of the Empire ended up with a bloodied nose and handcuffs from the cops, who took the calls seriously and also were unsure if the weapon was real. The police must not be happy about Episode 1: Racer being delayed.

The day was certainly a scary one for the woman who dressed as the Stromtrooper, as it went from a funny gag to something else entirely.
