Two new stills dropped for the upcoming Star Wars spin-off television series, The Book of Boba Fett, and one of them shows the bounty hunter's weapon.

The Book of Boba Fett picks up right where the character left off in The Mandalorian, which means Star Wars fans will see the character going to take over the underworld of Tatooine. Boba Fett, along with his partner Fennec Shand, will both be fighting for their lives in the same place once ruled by Jabba the Hutt.

The two new stills from Lucasfilm show off both a masked and unmasked Boba Fett. One photo shows Fett using his wrist-mounted flamethrower, which is commonly found in a Mandalorian's arsenal. The other photo shows the titular protagonist sitting on the infamous throne where Jabba the Hutt once spent his days while he was allive.

The new show looks to bring the bounty hunter more into the limelight after he played a brief supporting role in the original Star Wars trilogy. Bringing this character back is probably one of the best decisions made by the Star Wars team, as the character didn't get to show off much of what made him so feared around the galaxy. With him taking the throne and using a flamethrower in these stills, it looks like Boba Fett will pull no punches in the new show.

Boba Fett's scenes in The Mandalorian did a solid job at detailing his combat expertise and seeing that the stunt coordinator of Deadpool will be joining The Book of Boba Fett means that fans can expect a solid show with very grounded fight sequences. Here's to hoping that Captain Phasma gets a second chance after a very short time on the recent Star Wars trilogy. Some can argue that it was the fault of the marketing team that hyped up Phasma beyond expecations, but on the other hand, it felt unfair that the character was in a high standing within the First Order yet wasn't able to get a lot of shine or screen time.

For all intents and purposes, Captain Phasma was the new Boba Fett in that sense that both characters had their time cut short in their respective film trilogies. Boba Fett was just a cool looking armored space bounty hunter who didn't affect or offer much to the story before appearing to die in a very unsatisfying way. A character like this deserved a better death or at least time to show why Darth Vader even hired him in the first place. The Book of Boba Fett will hopefully answer those questions.

The Book of Boba Fett will be available on December 29th, 2021, exclusively on Disney Plus
