The Book of Boba Fett takes place during/after season 2 of The Mandalorian and also jumps back to the past in order to fill in the time gap of the character's absence from the Star Wars storyline. Now, Disney and Lucasfilm have released concept art for chapter one of the spin-off series.

Boba Fett was thought to have been killed during the events of Star Wars Episode VI - Return of the Jedi, but he was fortunately brought back to life in order to redeem the character and please fans. In the comic book spin-offs, the character was shown to survive his fate, but the comic books don't often align with the movie side of things, and much of the Star Wars literature was no longer considered canon after Disney purchased Lucasfilm. However, it looks like The Book of Boba Fett will loosely tie into the missing parts of the character's history, while taking its own creative freedom when it comes to depicting what the acclaimed bounty hunter was up to.

The Book of Boba Fett debuted on Disney Plus, and in similar fashion to The Mandalorian, the show features concept art during the credits of the show. The concept art, just like in The Mandalorian, reflect moments of the show and displays the characters in high definition rendered images. The images can be viewed, saved, and screenshot above for those who want to use it as a digital wallpaper, print it out for a poster, or even photoshop the images while adding it to a collection. The images are always beautiful, and these select designs were illustrated by Christian Alzmann and Brian Matyas.

After the generally positive reactions to The Book of Boba Fett episode 1, many are excited to see episode 2 when it releases Disney Plus. The show's first season will have a total of eight episodes on the streaming platform. After The Book of Boba Fett, fans will anticipate Star Wars spin-off shows Andor, Obi Wan Kenobi, The Bad Batch season 2, and The Mandalorian season 3.

Hopefully Boba Fett's solo debut is enough to warrant a second season. Right now it seems like every show or spin-off is anchoring to the timeline of the fourth, fifth, and sixth mainline Star Wars films. No one as of yet has been brave enough to go towards the recent trilogy, and it's likely due to fan pushback. Hopefully Disney is able to figure something out moving forward when the new shows release this year.

The Book of Boba Fett is streaming on Disney Plus.
