Star Wars: Battlefront Pre-Order Deals from Origin to Console, Dissected

By | 11 months ago

Now updated with new Battlefront deals.

It’s one large title after another this November. Just as we did with our Fallout 4 pre-order bonus dissect, we’ll dig deep for available Star Wars: Battlefront pre-order bonuses and deals. Veteran video game bargain hunters are probably familiar with the routine by now. On the PC/Origin version, you can find pre-order discounts at select digital retailers, while console gamers receive bonus gift card incentives.

A quick low-down for those who aren’t into reading, because let’s face it: you’re going to be busy dealing with AT-AT on rails soon, and if the rest of the Rebel teammates just followed the map objectives, this mission would be sooo much easier. Uh, anyhow… if you’re planning to play on the Xbox One or PlayStation 4, the cheapest deal from an authorized retailer is this $10 off discount for the Xbox One and PS4 version of Battlefront, courtesy of eBay deals. Shipping is free but given the time frame, you probably won’t be able to play on release week (hence the ten bucks discount).

For PC gamers, good options are either the $10 off deal at DLGamer/GMG for the Origin key or buying straight from itself for full price. Why full price? At Origin, you’ll get the great game guaranteed, so if you don’t find yourself enjoying Battlefront, you can ask for a refund. For the rest of the deals and pre-order offerings available for Star Wars: Battlefront, check the full list below! Update: Apparently DLGamer/GMG are no longer selling keys in NA and only to EU/UK.

Battlefront Console Pre-Order Bonuses

While you mostly won’t be able to get a discount on console pre-order titles (unless you have a paid membership), what you can often find are pre-order bonus incentives. We’re not talking about DLC, but retailer-specific items or gift cards that add value. Above are the top notch deals from major retailers for Star Wars: Battlefront.

For Xbox One buyers, the best bet is the aforementioned deal from Microsoft Store. You’ll get the $10 Xbox Gift Card code (usable on Xbox Live), plus free delivery to your door on the game’s release day. It’s a time-sensitive deal as we mentioned, and you’ll need to pre-order by Friday, November 13th at 10am Pacific in order to get that free release day delivery. Every other retailer with a similar delivery concept will cost you additional money (e.g. if you’re not an Amazon Prime member, it’ll cost almost $8 extra).

Battlefront Heroes vs Villains

Over at Best Buy, buying either the Xbox One or PS4 copies will net you a a bonus $10 in My Best Buy Rewards as long as you join the free loyalty program. To get actual pre-order savings on Star Wars: Battlefront, you’ll have to be a paid member to select services. For example, if you’re a paid paid $30 Gamers Club Unlocked member at Best Buy (2 year membership), they’ll drop the price 20% for you to $47.99.  Or, if you’re an Amazon Prime member, you get a small $5 price break with free release day shipping if you pre-order at least two days prior to release. Finally, for those liking physical collectibles, GameStop is tossing in a free double-sided wall poster – Star Wars themed, of course.

Star Wars Battlefront PC/Origin Deals

Instant $10 off discounts arrive via Green Man Gaming and DLGamer, both cutting the price down to basically $50. You’ll find a similar discount in the UK and the EU, with prices dropping to £42 and 50€, respectively. We’ve generally seen stronger discounts for PC digital pre-orders (at 20%+), but ten bucks off is ten bucks off and more than pays for a Qdoba burrito.

The only retailer not offering a discount we have listed is the Origin Store. Don’t dismiss Origin offhand, especially if you’re unsure of the game’s quality. If you buy from the Origin Store, you can participate in “Great Game Guaranteed” refund options. If you don’t like it, you can get a refund within 24 hours of your first launching the game or within seven days of release since this is a pre-order – whichever comes first. For new EA titles, if within the first 30 days you’re having technical problems that are within EA’s control, you can request a refund within 72 hours vs. just 24 hours.

So if you’re two days into the game and you’re enjoying yourself but the game constantly crashes to desktop and it’s a known bug issue? You can request a refund under Origin’s policy above.

Battlefront Deluxe Edition

The Deluxe Edition is for even more hardcore Star Wars fans. For an additional $10 on the price tag, you get the base game along with 5 DLC for in-game items: the Han Solo DL-44 blaster, Ion Grenade, Ion Torpedo, Ion Shock emote, and a special Victory emote.

With Battlefront heading to gaming platforms in less than a week, we suspect we’ll stumble on more deals for DICE’s attempt at relaunching a classic. If prices change or a new Star Wars: Battlefront pre-order deal crops up, you can be sure we’ll include them here.
