Electronic Arts has confirmed that Star Wars Battlefront 2 is set to appear during the publisher's E3 2017 event, EA Play, and as such fans of the Battlefront series of games have been left wondering exactly what EA has planned. Thanks to a few supposed leaks, however, gamers may be able to go into the event with a little more knowledge than the publisher would have hoped for.

The leaks come courtesy of Reddit user Some Info, who took to the site at first to divulge some information about the EA Play plans in particular. The user has stated that there will be two gameplay modes available for trial, one a single player demo that revolves around Star Wars Battlefront 2 protagonist Iden Versio and the other a multiplayer mode that takes place on the planet of Naboo. What's more, Some Info stated that hero characters will be available, as well as four playable classes per team.

However, it wasn't here that the potential leaks ended. Alongside this description of the E3 2017 plans, the Reddit user also casually dropped a screenshot of what appears to be the loadout screen for multiplayer, showing off a Heavy Trooper model. The screenshot itself, which is allegedly from an earlier work-in-progress build, can be seen below.

Alongside this, an extremely short gameplay video was also posted, which appears to reveal a melee attack taking place on a Rebel ship. Much like the image above, it's worth reiterating that neither is verified, and nor is the information regarding E3 2017. Given that there are a few discrepancies, such as the Blaster model noted in the HUD not matching up to the weapon being used by the Heavy Trooper, it's certainly worth taking with a rather large grain of salt for now.

So far, EA and DICE have been steadily releasing new information about Star Wars Battlefront 2, such as the recent video detailing the story of single player protagonist Iden Versio. With E3 2017 now extremely close, it may well be that Battlefront 2 sees some further information revealed, that perhaps might corroborate with the leaks seen today.

EA Play won't only focus on Star Wars Battlefront 2, however, with EA aiming to offer up plenty of content for gamers to enjoy. Alongside the Star Wars title, EA Play 2017's plans include the chance to see both the new Need for Speed and FIFA for Nintendo Switch in action, with a total of 140 different game stations and demos. No doubt EA will be planning for games such as Battlefront 2 to come out of the event as the stars, with or without any prior leaks.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 is currently set for release on November 17, 2017 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The game will be available at EA's E3 2017 event EA Play, which takes place between June 10-12.
