With the release of Star Wars: The Last Jedi beginning around the world, fans must tread carefully so as to go into the film with as little information ahead of time. Unfortunately, Star Wars Battlefront 2 players are having a harder time doing so, due to many users changing their user names to movie spoilers.

Those who are yet to see Star Wars: The Last Jedi should stay far away from Star Wars Battlefront 2 in the coming weeks or risk being killed by users with spoilers for username.s Thanks to the ability to change account names on PC, these malicious players have altered their profiles to ruin the experience for as many fans as possible.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 Death Threats

Although it's very clear that these players warrant banning for their actions, it's likely going to be a few days before the reports pile up enough for DICE or EA to do anything about them. At the moment, even turning off in-game chat isn't enough to avoid seeing spoilers, making Battlefront 2 unplayable for many of its fan-base.

With Star Wars Battlefront 2's The Last Jedi DLC launching recently, players have access to free brand new content themed around the movie. Although the add-on doesn't contain any spoilers for the film itself, the players involved are another story. The DLC does come with two new heroes, however, in the form of Finn and Captain Phasma, as well as a new map set on a planet in The Last Jedi.

This new incident is just one more controversy surrounding EA's Star Wars Battlefront series, which was currently redeeming itself in the eyes of the fans after announcing that microtransactions may not come back at all. At least this time it's not possible to blame the issues on the developer, but it's certain that DICE needs to immediately take action against these online trolls before its userbase takes a larger hit.
