After responding to fans on Twitter last week about new content for Star Wars Battlefront 2, the game's development team answered more questions on the official forums. These responses confirmed content it is currently working on, including Clone Wars DLC and player customization options.

On the Star Wars Battlefront 2 forums, a fan asked, "1. Are we getting conquest? 2. Any news on more customization (personally I would love it if you would make it more that just having a skin. Jaig eyes, for example)? 3. Any Clone Wars content?". In response to these inquiries, the dev team answered with "We're obviously hearing the requests about a more open, free-flowing large mode like Conquest. Not sure if porting a mode over is the right way to go, but we're definitely working on satisfying that request". The development team simply answered "yes" to the last two questions that were posed, regarding customization options and Clone Wars content.

Fans who have been asking for Clone Wars DLC will be happy to hear this, as it seemingly confirms the studio is actively working on this content. The team did not give a time frame for when to expect the new content, just that it was being worked on.

This confirmation comes shortly after EA announced that microtransactions will be returning to the game at some point in the upcoming months. Whether or not they have been tweaked enough that there won't be as much of a negative impact on the game remains to be seen. It seems, for better or worse, that microtransactions are a trend that are here to stay.

It's good to hear DICE is hearing fans out, though, especially after all the controversy surrounding Star Wars Battlefront 2's microtransactions, which gave the game a rocky start. The issue was so controversial that EA itself announced it is unsure when a sequel will come out. Hopefully the developer will keep listening to fan input and continue being open with the game's community on the forums and Twitter about what it is working on to keep improving the game.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 is currently available for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
