There are a lot of systems at play in Star Ocean: The Divine Force, tons of customization, and multiple characters to play and interact with throughout the adventure. Reviews for the game are reporting Star Ocean 6 will last around 40-50 hours. In addition, the data collected in How Long to Beat, SO6 players have completed the game in just over 50 hours. The recorded playthrough includes some extra missions, interactions, and side content. However, Star Ocean 6's length may depend on the game's three difficulty settings.

The settings are Earth, Galaxy, and Universe. These settings represent easy, "normal, and hard modes, but after completing the game, there is a Chaos difficulty offering a "very hard" mode for players that want a challenge. Be aware that combat is already challenging on Star Ocean 6's Galaxy difficulty. Trophy hunters must complete the game in Universe and Chaos to get their associated trophies, Universal Master and Master of Chaos. Going for those trophies can potentially double the playtime to 80-100 hours.

Star Ocean's Multiple Endings

In addition to the Normal endings for both protagonists, there are 16 character endings to unlock in Star Ocean: The Divine Force. These character endings depend on Raymond or Laeticia's affinity with the other party members. It's a mechanic that works similarly to the Xenoblade Chronicles series. The relationships between the characters increase through Star Ocean 6's use of Private Actions that trigger skits and interactions between the protagonists and the supporting casts, impacting the ending. There are 16 trophies/achievements to unlock that are associated with each character ending.

Raymond and Laeticia have eight character endings to unlock and require two playthroughs to get all 16. Thankfully, all individual character endings are unlockable in a single play as long as the character's Private Actions are complete before SO6's end. Unlocking the endings will mean the player has to take the time to converse and explore, potentially extending Star Ocean: The Divine Force to 120-30 hours for those who are thorough.

Star Ocean: The Divine Force is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
