The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe Edition likes to make life difficult for achievement hunters and completionists. Much like the original, achievements/trophies that come with The Stanley Parable's updated re-release are hard to locate due to misleading descriptions or unfair requirements.

One example of this is a trophy that reads "Test Trophy Please Ignore," which gives little indication as to how it can be obtained. Thankfully, there is indeed a solution for determined players who take the time to fully explore The Stanley Parable's new content.

New Content + The Stanley Parable 2

The Stanley Parable - Ultra Deluxe 2 Expo

The path to this achievement requires the player to experience all the game's new content, which takes time for new and experienced players alike. Once a player has experienced several Stanley Parable endings, a door will randomly appear before reaching the Two Doors Room that clearly displays the words "NEW CONTENT."

Entering this door leads to a literal on-rails showcase of The Stanley Parable's history, but ultimately leads to some deliberately disappointing content. After this path has been fully explored, the game will reset.

This new playthrough will lead the player to the "NEW CONTENT" door again with some added neon signs and arrows. Taking this route will direct the player to an apparent sequel for The Stanley Parable with lots of new content such as an optional bucket pickup which changes game endings.

The Stanley Parable's Free Trophy Guide

The Stanley Parable - Ultra Deluxe 2 Expo Map

Once inside an expo room for "The Stanley Parable 2," players can find a section labeled "FREE TROPHY/ACHIEVEMENT" on signs and maps. Heading towards this section will reveal a machine that will give the player this award, but interacting with the machine reveals this feature is still in development and nothing happens.

The ultimate path to receiving the trophy/achievement can be achieved at the player's discretion, but the only way to progress requires quitting the game. This can be done immediately after exploring the expo or attempting other achievements such as collecting figurines.

The introductory text will ask the player to set the time when the game is booted up again. These banal conversations are more of The Stanley Parable's meta antics, but every time the game is booted up after this will add more to the strange conversation.

Exploring The Stanley Parable Epilogue

Eventually, the text will tell you "to find it again" to continue talking. If all event triggers are completed, and the New Content has been played through, a new subset in the menu will appear that reads "Epilogue." Selecting this option will present Stanley and the player with a reflective look across The Stanley Parable.

Exploring this Epilogue can take a while, but once it is complete, a final text menu will appear that tells the player directly about some additional features. As well as changing the title screen each time the game boots up, the "Free Trophy/Achievement" machine has now been fixed.

At this point, all the player needs to do is guide Stanley back through the New Content doors again and re-visit the expo room. Interacting with the machine once again will now unlock the elusive achievement, with a comedic response from the Narrator.

The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe Edition is playable on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
