Netflix's new Korean dystopian drama Squid Game seems to have taken over the internet. Whether it’s memes related to the series or raving reviews about the plot, social media users cannot stop talking about it a month after it first premiered on the streaming service. The latest to join in are cosplayers, who will go to any extent to nail a specific look from the extremely popular series.

One such cosplayer, who goes by @mastiffwitha4 on Instagram, shared images of her outfit and has been receiving a lot of positive feedback from fans of the Netflix series. Dressed up as the giant animatronic doll from the first episode of Squid Game, the cosplayer compared her look to that of the one in the series, and it is hauntingly accurate.

In a side-by-side image, the cosplayer is seen wearing a yellow button-down shirt, an orange dress, knee-length socks, and black shoes. The outfit is a replica of the one worn by the animatronic doll in the “Red Light, Green Light” episode of Squid Game. In a second image shared by the cosplayer, she highlights her eye makeup and the dark-colored lenses she wore to reflect a similar look to the doll in the series.

The animatronic doll makes an appearance during the first episode of the series when the participants show up in an open courtyard to play the first game. Completely unaware of what they’ve gotten themselves into, the participants are amused by the doll that sings a Korean phrase from the popular children's game “Red Light, Green Light.”

When the first participant fails to obey the game’s rules, a sniper rifle shoots him dead, leaving all the players (and audience) completely stunned. Once the remaining participants realize what is at stake, they panic and start running towards the gates of the courtyard, trying to escape. However, the doll detects their movements as their failure to meet the demands of the games, and they are all shot dead.

In the past few weeks, several memes and videos have shown up on social media involving the doll. Many fans shared edited videos, superimposing themselves into the first episode of Squid Game, the wildly popular deadly game series. They are pretending to play the deadly game with the doll. The videos usually involve a clip of the doll singing the Korean phrase, which roughly translates to “Hibiscus flower has bloomed,” and the pretend participants either surviving the round or losing their lives.

Squid Game is streaming on Netflix.
