After premiering on September 17, Netflix's Squid Game became a smashing hit and the most-watched original series on the streaming service globally within its first month of launch. Since its release, the streamer has been sharing some behind-the-scenes facts that have proven to be very interesting for fans of the series. Netflix has now released some photographs from the sets of the popular show.

In the set images, some of the main actors of Netflix's extremely popular Korean dystopian drama are visible, including Lee Jung-jae, Stephen Fu, Oh Yeong-su, Jung Hoyeon, Stephanie Komure, and Heo Sung-tae. While most of the characters that they portray in Squid Game are more serious in nature, the actors seemed to have had a lot of fun while filming the nine-episode series.

Jung Hoyeon’s character Kang Sae-byeok and Heo Sung-tae’s character Jang Deok-su never get along in Squid Game. In fact, the latter is ready to kill Kang, as she has apparently betrayed him in the past. But, in one of the behind-the-scenes images from the sets of Squid Game, the two actors are seen standing together, smiling, and looking at a camera while a scene is possibly being filmed. Both actors are seen wearing the green tracksuit, which is possibly one of the most sought looks for Halloween this year.

The remaining images are also quite heartwarming. Keeping in mind the violent premises of Squid Game, it is interesting to see the actors in character, smiling on set. In one of the images, Heo Sung-tae and Komure are seen posing for the cameras while filming their final scene in the series. The scene involves a rather violent game, which includes contestants stepping over a glass platform, with some of the glass pieces breaking under their weight, sending them tumbling down to their death.

After taking the internet by storm, Squid Game is said to be bringing in millions in value for the streaming service. It has been reported that the series has generated $891 million in impact value for Netflix already, which refers to the show’s economic contribution to the streamer. The number seems huge when compared to the cost of producing the series. At an overall budget of just $21.4 million, each episode of Squid Game costs only around $2.4 million to produce.

Squid Game is now streaming on Netflix.
