The Forgers are just your average ordinary family - or maybe not. Well, when Mom is an assassin, Dad is a spy and the daughter is a telepath, how can you be. Little Anya Forger is the heart and soul of Spy x Family. Her childish ways coupled with her incredible intellect make her an enjoyable and very interesting character to watch. She is, without a doubt, most people's favorite character from the anime. Now, Anya has been adapted into a Tamagotchi character, where you can raise her on your own.
Tatsuya Endo's Spy x Family follows the super spy called Twilight who needs to acquire a fake family to complete a new mission. He assembles this family by adopting a little girl named Anya under the alias Loid Forger and marrying a woman named Yor to form the Forger Family. This family is far from normal, it is not only Loid who is keeping a secret. Yor is a trained assassin and Anya can read minds. The chaos that ensues makes this anime the fun ride that it is.
Bandai, the company that created the original Tamagotchi, is collaborating with Spy x Family to create a new virtual pet. Only now, you can step into Loid and Yor's shoes and raise Anya! The toy will be on sale at online stores and Japanese toy shops from December 17 at approximately $20 each.
The Tamagotchi will be available in two different case designs: a simple light green version with little symbols reminiscent of the anime (such as Loid's fedora) and an Anya-inspired bubblegum pink version embellished with her gold and black hair decorations on either side. Within the game itself, users have a variety of outfits to choose from for Anya, such as her Eden Academy uniform, Detective Anya, Witch Anya, and more. Classic Anya-isms will also be a part of the game, like her many expressive facial quirks, which will indicate how well your "parenting" is going.
You can feed Anya her favorite snack, peanuts, to keep her going; although more about feeding her is yet to be revealed. Users can play mini-games with Anya such as dodgeball and spy-themed word-match game. Another mini-game is also coming soon. Should you not give virtual Anya sufficient attention, she will run away from you. If you do well, you can unlock virtual versions of Loid and Yor, as well.
