The Story of My Home Hero

My Home Hero Tetsuo Ryoichi

Tetsuo Tosu is a regular office worker who loves his family very much. He works from 9 to 5, comes home to his loving wife, and visits their bratty daughter, Reiko, in her college from time to time. In his spare time, Tetsuo works on his mystery novel. His life may be the definition of average, but it is also a quite happy and peaceful life.

That is until Tetsuo finds out that his beloved daughter has been going out with an unsavory man who turns out to have an affiliation with the Yakuza. One day, Tetsuo noticed a bruise on his daughter’s face. Since his daughter refused to explain what happened, Tetsuo decided to sneak into his daughter’s apartment, and see for himself what actually happens between them.

As expected, the boyfriend comes in. As it turns out, he has been beating and extorting Reiko for quite some time. A confrontation happens, and next thing he knows, Tetsuo has killed her daughter’s boyfriend. So begins a series of mind-blowing and unbelievable events that pit Tetsuo against the bloodthirsty Yakuza and the corrupt police, all the while trying to hide his sin from his family.

The Characters

My Home Hero Main Characters

The characters in this story can be divided into three main camps. Tetsuo’s family, the Yakuza, and the cops. The Tetsuo family consists of Tetsuo himself, his wife Kasen, and their daughter Reika. Tetsuo is a man who loves mystery novels, and has acquired all kinds of random knowledge and information thanks to those novels. Information that could help him become an effective murderer. His wife, Kasen, is a regular housewife who is willing to do everything for her family. Although she might look quite meek at first, Kasen actually has a dark past that not many people know about. Their daughter, Reika, is a regular college student who never really thinks about the consequences of her actions.

While there are also cops in the story, Tetsuo’s main problem is the Yakuza. There are a lot of Yakuza involved in the story, but the most notable ones are Kubo, Kyoichi, and Yoshitatsu. Kubo is a former soldier who turned into an assassin for the Yakuza. He is a calm and cold-blooded killing machine who will kill anybody for the right price, or when ordered to do so. Kyoichi is a junior member of the organization who is eager to prove himself to his bosses. He is an intelligent young man who always feels suspicious of everything and everyone. And finally, Yoshitatsu, the lower level boss of both men. He is an incredibly smart and shrewd man who can find a million ways to con his target, but despite his position, he actually despises violence.
