As a player makes their way through Jellyfish Fields in SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated they will inevitably arrive at Spork Mountain. When they reach the top of this mountain, they will be forced to battle King Jellyfish, and indeed this boss fight may be a bit confusing to some fans. However, with just a bit of instruction it is quite easy to beat King Jellyfish in Battle for Bikini Bottom, and that instruction can be found below.

To start, players should not immediately engage King Jellyfish in SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated, instead allowing the boss to follow them. Eventually, King Jellyfish will stop his pursuit, slam the ground, and emit a shockwave, and fans should jump just before the attack is launched in order to avoid it. At that point, players can move in and hit King Jellyfish with their Bubble Wand.

This will move the fight with Battle for Bikini Bottom's King Jellyfish into the next phase, which sees the boss spawn a number of small pink jellyfish. Fans can opt either to knock these small jellyfish out with their wands or simply avoid them, but the central strategy remains the same as what is outlined above: allow King Jellyfish to pursue, jump the shockwave, and then hit the boss.

Now platformer fans will be in the final stage of the King Jellyfish fight in Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated, and it is very much like phase two with the addition of some small blue jellyfish. Again players can decide if they wish to attack or dodge these tiny foes while they wait for King Jellyfish to send out his shockwave, and they can then use his attack as an opening to administer the third and final hit.

Indeed, this last slap from SpongeBob's wand will trigger a short cutscene that sees King Jellyfish hand over his Jelly before taking leave with an overflowing briefcase in hand. Players can then grab the Jelly, begin descending Mount Spork, and make their way to Battle for Bikini Bottom's Goo Lagoon level and beyond.

SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated is out now for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
