One of the most important elements of any video game is the enemies players face throughout the game. Not only should they look cool, but they also need to function well as obstacles to the player's goal. Spongebob Squarepants: Battle For Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated does a good job of bringing the classic evil robots of the original game back to life.

Each robot in the game has its own unique design and own technique in which the player needs to handle it. But which ones stand out above the rest as the coolest? Here are the ten best-designed robots in the game (excluding the bosses).

10 Bomb-bot

This robot makes the cut only because it is as adorable as it is deadly. Bomb-bot is a tiny robot that has one eye and is shaped like a bomb that moves around without legs or rolling, which may make people question its physics.

Quietly introduced into the game in Sandy's Treedome, Bomb-bot quickly follows the player around before exploding, hoping to hurt the player before as its life ends. These robots are easy to kick around, but they cause enough panic where players need to make a fight or flight decision.

9 Ham-mer

Let's be honest; this robot only made the list because of that hammy pun. One of the earliest robots players meet in the game, Ham-mer is as true to its name as it can be. It's a robot that has a hammer for an arm, with the hammer part being an actual ham.

These robots can be a bit annoying but are relatively easy one-hit kills. Patrick is also taught how to stun Ham-mers and use them as objects to throw at buttons or obstacles.

8 Tar-Tar

One of the more gross robots in the game, Tar-Tar shoots hot tartar sauce from a tank that is strapped to its back. Aesthetically, it isn't as cool looking as many of the other robots, but it does play a role in introducing the player to dealing with range robots.

It's also the first robot that isn't a one-hit kill in the game, as players need to use their normal attack twice to kill it. However, most other attacks, including a bubble bowl or throwing fruit at it, kills Tar-Tar quicker.

7 Chuck

This may be the first robot in the game that instills some level of fear into the player. A robot that players first meet on the Downtown Bikini Bottom rooftops, the floating robot appears armless at first until it sees the player.

Then, a robotic arm from inside its body comes out from the top to launch a missile directly at the player. These are easier to dodge in this version of the game thanks to red indicators that show where the missiles will land. Defeating Chuck is not too hard as Sandy's lasso and Spongebob bubble-bash or cruise bubble does the trick.

6 G-Love

Another robot that debuts in Downtown Bikini Bottom, G-Love is unique for having a disc shape and having five arms that each has a glove on it, hence the name. It hovers towards the player and begins spinning at them with its arms out, making it harder to hit it with just the normal attack.

Luckily, Spongebob's bubble bounce and Patrick's body slam from the air are easy ways to destroy this robot, and Sandy's lasso comes in handy as well. It's one of the robots that stands out from the rest while having a unique way of defeating it.

5 Monsoon

These pesky robots are hard to reach, and they have the ability to make your path a little stormy. With an umbrella on its head and a remote control in its hand, Monsoon summons storm clouds to chase the players and strike lightning down upon them.

When players first meet this robot in Goo Lagoon, it may seem unthreatening and easy to get rid of with a bubble bash. Later levels, however, it becomes a problem when they are high up and summoning clouds on the player where they can't reach it. The cruise bubble comes in handy for these situations.

4 Sleepy Time

Sleepy Time does not like being woken up by any civilians and will let them know in painful ways. A larger robot than the ones already mentioned, Sleepy Time has a bulb hovering above its head that projects light around it to catch any fish walking towards it.

Its harder for Patrick and Sandy to fight this robot, as they need to use their range abilities to defeat it. But this robot makes way for players to use Spongebob's sneaking ability, where he can tiptoe in the light and just hit the robot to defeat it.

3 Slick

The final robot introduced in the game, Slick is frustrating to deal with if players aren't in a good position away from it. The largest robot in the game, it stands tall while also having an ink bubble surrounding it.

Of all the playable characters, Spongebob is the only one who deals with this bot the most and must use the cruise bubble to pop the bubble and then kill the robot before the bubble grows back. Other weapons can be used, but Slick was built to be handled with the projectile.

2 Tubelet

Tubelet may look like just a sweet kid wearing a propeller hat in a tube, but it is a lot more annoying than that, and it comes in threes. The robots debut in Kelp Forest where they are in a stacked formation. The bottom Tubelet circles around on the bottom to create a spinning "jello attack."

The player needs to kill all three in a timely fashion because if it only kills one or two, the Tubelet left will be able to respawn their death brethren while also creating a big explosion that will harm the player. Tubulet is one of the more complicated yet fascinating robots in the game.

1 Arf

It's a cowboy robot... why wouldn't it top the list? This tall robot with a handle-bar mustache and cowboy hat socks his "Arf Dawgs" on the player, which are super tiny robots that explode after hopping around for a short time. Spongebob can use his bubble bowl ability to knock the player around a few times in order to kill it.

Players can't get to close to the robot because it will use its dog house it carries around to swing at the player and hurt them. This robot asks the player to attack it from afar without necessarily shooting things from afar.
