Split/Second fans haven’t seen much new content since the game's release but Black Rock Studio aims to change that this month. Arcade racing enthusiasts will be able to get their hands on a triple offering of downloadable content to revitalize their favorite cars and rekindle their need for speed in Split/Second.
All three packs are available now for Xbox Live and PlayStation Network - two packs are free while the other is priced at a mere 160 MS points or two dollars.
The first free set is the Elite Vehicle Livery Pack - livery is just a fancy word for decals and paint jobs - and will give players new looks for the Elite vehicles of Brawn, Vixen and Raptor.
The second collection is the High Octane Supercar Pack which will add three new cars to your collection and a new paint job for the Ryback Cyclone for only two bucks.
A third, unannounced piece of DLC has also discreetly found its way onto XBL and PSN titled the Ryback Cyclone Special Edition - which is also ready for purchase at the very reasonable price of free.
About a month ago, we reported that Split/Second will be getting four new packs of DLC goodness and three packs have already arrived for your consumption. So there is only one left for this month but its rumoured to be a doozy containing a new track and maybe even some new cars.
I have to admit that I haven’t been properly acquainted with Split/Second yet but Game Rant's Split/Second review explains why it's a must play. It's still always nice to see developers committed to supporting their games with DLC after they've been released - even better when its free or close to free. It’s also hard to go wrong with anything from Black Rock Studios after their fantastic game Pure which is still definitely worth checking out.
