Despite a short single player campaign, Splinter Cell: Conviction has snuck into our hearts and refuses to leave - primarily because of its excellent co-op offerings.

It seems that Ubisoft agrees - co-op maps will be the likely focus of future DLC for the title.

Yesterday, Ubisoft Community Manager Li Kuo tweeted about the Splinter Cell co-op experience, stating:

"Coop is huge hit! Good thing since some killer DLC is almost done — details later. Meantime keep getting ur free stuff every Thurs!"

We have been enjoying the complimentary updates to Sam's arsenal but don't expect the aforementioned "Killer" DLC to be free.

Personally, I'm glad that Ubisoft is delivering some meaty DLC content for Conviction - and the co-op portion of the game is the logical place to expand. However, it'd be nice if we were also treated to a few more single player offerings - especially considering the game's super-short campaign. The single player "Hunter Mode" is fun for awhile but lacks real variety.

Splinter Cell Co-Op

Even though Modern Warfare 2 had a painfully short single player campaign, there was still plenty of action left in "Special Ops" - which featured a terrific variety in the different challenges. Speaking of which, why hasn't Activision released more Spec Ops missions as DLC?

It'd be great to see Ubisoft offer Batman: Arkham Asylum-like challenge rooms which, given the gameplay similarities, seems like a no-brainer.

For now, no pricing information, or any other solid details, on the DLC have been released.

What would you like to see in DLC for Splinter Cell: Conviction?
