Releasing in September, Splatoon 3 is one of the most anticipated Switch games coming out this fall. Recently, fans enjoyed a whole host of reveals about the game in a Nintendo Direct presentation all about Splatoon 3. Fans found out multiple details about customization, competitive multiplayer, new stages, weapons, and more. It seems that Nintendo has added a lot of new features to Splatoon 3, which will likely attract more fans, but that doesn't mean the company has forgotten about its veteran players.Rather, Nintendo is giving some extra bonuses to players of Splatoon 2 when they log into the third game. According to Nintendo's webpage for Splatoon 3, those who have save data from Splatoon 2 will be able to transfer that information when they launch Splatoon 3 and get special in-game benefits and rewards. These rewards include three Gold Sheldon Licenses that can be exchanged for main weapons in Splatoon 3, giving the player access to any equipment they want regardless of level.RELATED: Splatoon 3 Announces Pre-Release Splatfest Event and Tricolor Turf WarAlso, players will be able to join Splatoon 3's Anarchy Battles, which is the new name for Splatoon 2's Ranked Battles mode, as soon as they launch the game. As well, due to a player's previous experience in Ranked Battles, they will start Splatoon 3 with a higher rank than someone beginning the game from scratch. It seems that Nintendo is hoping to provide somewhat of a level playing field in Splatoon 3's competitive multiplayer by letting the experienced players of Splatoon 2 match with each other online from day one.

It also appears that a lot of these in-game benefits for players of Splatoon 2 have to do with the third game's multiplayer. Apart from three free weapons, the majority of the rewards Splatoon veterans will receive simply boost their status in the new title's ranked multiplayer. Still, it is interesting that Nintendo is giving returning players to Splatoon 3 rewards, providing fans with an incentive to stick with the series in the long run.

Apart from benefits for Splatoon 2 players, a bunch of other details about Splatoon 3 have been revealed thanks to the recent Nintendo Direct, as well as information coming from social media. One of the bigger additions to Splatoon 3 appears to be in its Tableturf Battle, which is a new competitive card-based mini-game with over 150 collectible cards. For any fan who gets slightly bored of the usual online multiplayer of Splatoon, Tableturf Battle offers another experience entirely.

Splatoon 3 releases September 9, 2022 for Nintendo Switch.
