Activision released a behind-the-scenes trailer for the upcoming Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions featuring commentary from the narrator of the game, better known as the creator of Spider-Man himself - Stan Lee.

The behind-the-scenes clip shows Stan laying down some voice work, as well as sharing his positive opinions of the game and how he feels about playing as four different Spidey characters in one game.

Also, weaved within the trailer is a mixed bag of some pretty cool gameplay footage.

The Generalissimo seems pretty excited with how the game portrays his most successful creation, which is a good sign since Stan is known to proclaim himself as the biggest fan of his own work. In reference to the question of what aspects of himself does he see in Spider-Man, Stan humorously answers "I would say, the greatness in that man, in some way, reminds me of me."

I share his excitement for the game as well. As a big fan of comic books, I always have an optimism with new games hailing from the medium. The Spider-Man franchise, in correlation to it's video game branch, has been up and down. It's been awhile since I've picked up the controller to play a Spider-Man game, but with everything we've seen for Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions it looks like I'll be slinging webs once again.

The gameplay footage within the behind-the-scenes trailer looks pretty awesome. The aerials look appealing and the environments looks considerably polished for each of the dimensions - more notably the Noir and 2099 dimensions. With the updated features and original storyline this may be the best Spider-Man game to date, and I'm eager to jump into it.

Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions is slinging onto shelves September 7th for Xbox 360, PS3, Wii and DS.
