With the release of Spider-Man: Miles Morales earlier this month, many PlayStation players are having fun with the new title. Whether they play on the PS4 or PS5, fans are enjoying the game. Though there may not be as much content as there was in the previous installment of the series, Marvel's Spider-Man, there is a lot to learn in order to beat the game as well as its side quests.

The combat can be quite difficult for players that don't know the best approach to winning each fight and how to become the best hero Miles can be. These tips will help players become the most skilled Spider-Man around.

10 Learn The Map

Like Marvel's Spider-Man, this title takes place in New York City, with Harlem being especially important to the story. Depending on how much time players spent in the first game, they may be familiar with the open-world.

However, for those that don't remember where places such as the Daily Bugle and Fisk Tower are, they may want to pay attention as they swing around the city as they may want to return to somewhere they've already been later on.

9 Play Side Quests During The Story

Despite the main story only taking about 8 hours to beat, there are a lot of fun side quests to complete. Though players need to progress through the plot to earn more side quests, they can beat these stories whenever they want after earning access to them.

Some of these missions focus on characters that appear at the end of the story. For fans that want these quests to feel like they have more importance, it is recommended that they take the time to play through them before beating the game.

8 The Bigger They Are, The Longer They Fight

There are different types of enemies for Miles to fight. Like in Marvel's Spider-Man, many criminals are plotting against the city and players can stop them. The campaign, however, focuses on two new groups in the series. The members of The Underground and Roxxon are stronger than the average criminals.

Within each group, members have different weapons and some are bigger than others. Though the larger opponents tend to have better weapons, it is best to defeat the smaller foes first. They take less time to defeat, meaning that fewer enemies will fight players at once.

7 Use Your Environment

During fights, there are usually objects on the battlefield for Miles to use. Players can use their environment to throw these objects at enemies or to slam them down on top of them. However, this will take more practice than normal combat.

It can be difficult to throw objects in the desired direction. Miles also only gets one opportunity to slam each object onto their foes, so gamers will need to time their movements properly. Though it can be challenging to get the hang of, the game gives players as many chances as they need.

6 Gadgets

Miles has four Gadgets at his disposal. The most common are Web-Shooters, which can be used to damage enemies and trap them so they can't move for a short period of time. The Holo-Drone summons holographic fighters to assist players. The Remote Mine can grab onto an enemy and be activated when the player chooses to attack them.

The Gravity Well brings a group of enemies next to each other and momentarily knocks them down so that Miles can attack them more easily. Each of these gadgets can be upgraded with Activity Tokens and Tech Parts so players will want to get as many as they can.

5 Skills

Like Gadgets, Skills can also be used to help players win fights. There are three main types: Combat Skills, Venom Skills, and Camouflage Skills. Most of the Combat Skills make players stronger, especially with their Venom powers.

Venom Skills give players new Venom abilities, such as the Venom Smash and Venom Jump. Camouflage Skills make Miles stronger while he is invisible. These Skills can be unlocked by using Skill Points, which players gain as they progress throughout the game.

4 Use Venom

Miles' best moves are his Venom Skills. Because they are so powerful, it takes time for players to be able to use them every time they want to. One example of a Venom Skill is the Venom Punch, which can be used to knock an enemy back and become weaker.

Another is the Venom Smash, which causes Miles to jump in the air and punch the ground, knocking back multiple enemies that are near each other and weakens them. A final example is the Venom Jump, which raises opponents above the ground and allows Miles to fight them in midair.

3 Heal Wisely

One of the few flaws of Venom Skills is that by using them, players will not be able to heal as much. At the same time, the more Miles heals himself, the less he obtains these powers.

Though it is very rare that gamers should try to decrease their health, they should be even more protective in this game and try to dodge incoming attacks whenever they get the chance.

2 Use Camouflage

Besides Venom Skills, one of the best ways to use Miles is with his power to turn invisible. This can be used in stealth missions and to escape from enemies. Players can then sneak up on an opponent and instantly defeat them.

Though the time players can use this ability runs out quickly, it also doesn't take too long to recharge and can be used as many times as necessary.

1 Free Falling

Players can decide how quickly they want to travel around New York City. While some may want to check every building out and see what they can do, others may want to swing around the open-world as fast as they can.

The best way to do this is by getting on top of the largest building and using the Bullet Dive until Miles almost touches the ground. When Spider-Man almost hits it, players can start swinging around very quickly.
