Insomniac's new Spider-Man game is finally here, and fans have been absolutely loving swinging through the city as everyone's favorite pseudo-arachnid. The experience has been so great that Game Rant even gave it a 5 out of 5 in our review. Some fans, however, are more passionate than others, including Kinda Funny's Greg Miller, who has been campaigning for months to get his Shirtless Spider-Man in the game. Needless to say, his wish has been granted.

Minor spoilers ahead.

During one scene of the game, Spider-Man goes to a Halloween party to track down a scientist central to the game's plot. The scene is fairly brief, but players are free to explore it as much as they want. However, sharp-eyed players may spot a drunk man sporting nothing but pants and a Spider-Man mask standing in the crowd, a direct reference to Miller. Miller posted some of his fan's screenshots via Twitter.

Miller has been pushing to get his topless web-slinger in the game for months, so it's satisfying to see that effort pay off for the Internet personality. He's a passionate gamer with a deep love for comics and the PlayStation platform, so there are arguably none more deserving of such an honor than him. It also helps that he has a dedicated, passionate fan base that has been helping with the push by creating fan art to catch Insomniac's attention.

Miller also released a response as the discovery became more widely known.

With negative stories about video games and gamers circulating in the news a lot lately, it's great to finally see some positivity, even if it is as small as an Easter egg in a Triple-A title such as Spider-Man. Hopefully, more stories like this will appear in the future, and gamers everywhere will have a few more experiences to bond over. Until then, fans will just have to zip around a beautifully rendered version of New York to escape the real-world woes of sociopaths and madmen. Oh, wait.

Spider-Man is available now on the PS4.
