One talented modder of Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered shows off what the game would look like if it was from a first-person perspective. Ever since the game was released on PC, modders have been having a field day doing some crazy things with the title. Many of the mods that have been made for the game are usually cosmetic, where players can suddenly play with a different suit from the character's history or someone else altogether, like Kermit the Frog, for example. This recent mod, however, shifts perspective, turning the once third-person game into a first-person adventure.

When players don the mask as the wall-crawler, the game takes place primarily from the third-person perspective. Usually, this helps give players a good look at where they are going and gives them spatial awareness during things like swinging around NYC or fighting criminals. With a shift to a first-person view, this gives players an idea of what Spider-Man sees and gives them a VR-like Spider-Man web-swinging simulator.

This Spider-Man Remastered mod was created by jedijosh920, who has been modding the game ever since it was released on the PS4. Their latest video shows a realistic look at the superhero through a first-person lens. As soon as it starts, players can see Spidey climbing up a wall, from a realistic perspective. From there, it shows Spider-Man doing what he's known for best, swinging around New York City.

Gameplay of Spider-Man is a little shaky in this first-person view, due to the number of ways that the hero's perspective would shift and move while swinging. It would also be affected by how the character is constantly on the move, which would affect the direction that the hero would be facing at any given moment. While some people were amazed at how the modder was able to accomplish this perspective change, others noted that the rapid movements during this perspective were nausea-inducing. Another set of fans admired the webhead's ability to maintain focus and be able to move around in such a state.

Other than the web-swinging gameplay, players were curious to see what Spider-Man's combat would look like from first-person as well. While the video doesn't show it, jedijosh920 left a link in the video's description to the Spider-Man PC Modding Discord server. This server gives players the tools needed to start modding the game, as well as to download this particular mod and try it out for themselves.

Spider-Man Remastered is available now on PC and PS5.
