Spider-Man PS4 has been a highly-anticipated PlayStation exclusive developed by Insomniac Games, creators of Ratchet and Clank and Sunset Overdrive, in partnership with Sony. The game is the first Spider-Man game on current-generation consoles and will be set in its "own world", one that Insomniac is creating for itself.

Today, Game Informer revealed that its latest issue will feature a "month of exclusive" content for Spider-Manwhich begins with, according to Insomniac, the reveal of the release date of the game. Ever since E3 2017, when Spider-Man was first confirmed to be a title for 2018, players have been speculating on when the game will be releasing, with rumors of a Fall 2018 release date carrying the strongest weight.

Today, Insomniac clarified that, not only is Spider-Man still slated for a 2018 release date, but also "Game Informer has the date and will share it tomorrow!" This is most likely referring to the release of Game Informer's 301st issue, which will be available tomorrow, April 4 at 10am CT, for digital subscribers (print subscribers will get their issues on April 6).

The release date will probably be a prominent feature in the 14-page article that will have exclusive previews, screenshots, concept art, and content from Insomniac Games' creative director Brian Intihar, game director Ryan Smith, art director Jacinda Chew, lead writer Jon Paquette, and more. The publication states that the article will "take you through the opening of the game, the first mission, and [show] plenty of open-world exploration", while also revealing the names of "villains you may or may not know."

It looks like the time has finally come for Insomniac Games to lift the veil of secrecy surrounding Spider-Man. Fans haven't seen much since the extended gameplay trailer at E3 2017, but that should change throughout the month starting tomorrow. Most importantly, by tomorrow PS4 owners should know when exactly they can get their hands on the game.
