After its E3 2017 gameplay debut, Insomniac Games’ Spider-Man left a strong impression with gamers. So much so, in fact, that the title came away with numerous Game of the Show awards. But it would be a long wait before players got to see more of what Sony and Insomniac were cooking.

Now, Insomniac is finally ready to pull back the curtain on Spider-Man and reveal new gameplay footage, as well as additional details about the game. This month will be all about Spider-Man, with reveals planned for the next 27 days or so.

Game Informer has the exclusive cover story for Spider-Man this month, and the publication plans to slowly reveal new information starting with the publication of its main article tomorrow. Insomniac Games will also reveal the Spider-Man PS4 release date tomorrow, which most hope will land sometime in the fall of this year.

To tease the big reveal, GI showed off a trailer that includes new footage of Spider-Man in action on PS4. It’s fairly brief, but there is enough new footage there to dissect. See it below:

The bulk of the footage features Spider-Man (aka Peter Parker) doing what he does best: swinging through the streets of New York City. Insomniac Games has seemingly done well to emulate the momentum and speed of Spider-Man’s web-slinging while giving him a variety of animations and movement options.

It’s also worth pointing out that the footage features a mini-map in the bottom right corner, our first indication of what the HUD could look like for Spider-Man on PS4. Obviously, Insomniac wanted to keep the screen free from clutter during the initial previews, but it will be interesting to see how the mini-map fills up and what objectives are available throughout the game.

As was said before, Insomniac Games has played things close to the vest with Spider-Man, but that will change tomorrow with the big reveal. By this time tomorrow, fans should know when the game releases, have a better idea of how it plays, and presumably, there will be a few new villain teases as well.

Spider-Man will release exclusively for PS4.
