The Spider-Man: No Way Home promotions are in full swing. After the official trailer dropped, Sony Pictures has been releasing unique content regularly to keep the hype going. The latest to join the marketing of the film is a brand new TV spot that showcases new footage from the much-awaited movie, and this one offers a closer look at one of the main villains, Jamie Foxx’s Electro.

It is already known that Spider-Man: No Way Home will officially unleash the Multiverse, with Doctor Strange’s botched spell being showcased in the official trailer for Spider-Man 3. With the gates wide open, villains from different universes start arriving in Tom Holland’s version of Peter Parker’s world, which includes Electro, among others.

The new Spider-Man: No Way Home TV spot shows Electro appreciating the new world that he has discovered. “Look at this place, and all the possibilities,” he is heard saying. It is a clear hint towards the carnage he is planning to cause in this world, after having done the same in 2014’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2. While Foxx’s Electro has already featured in the second trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home, the new TV spot offers a closer look at his suit and abilities, as he is seen generating a massive amount of power from his body.

Foxx first appeared as Electro in 2014's The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and is among a list of returning actors who will be reprising their respective Spider-Man roles for the upcoming film. All the villains spotted in the Spider-Man: No Way Home trailers so far are from the non-MCU Spider-Man films, and they all seem to be coming together to bring the Multiverse to life. When Foxx first appeared as Electro, though, he faced Andrew Garfield’s version of the titular character, so it will be interesting to see him go up against Holland’s Spider-Man.

Electro is joined by Alfred Molina’s Doctor Otto Octavius and Willem Dafoe's Green Goblin. Other returning villains include Sandman, who has previously appeared in 2007’s Spider-Man 3, and The Lizard, who appeared in 2012’s The Amazing Spider-Man. It isn’t confirmed now whether Thomas Haden Church and Rhys Ifans are returning to reprise their respective roles in Spider-Man: No Way Home, but the villainous characters will definitely be making an appearance.

Spider-Man: No Way Home premieres in theaters on December 17, 2021.
