Spider-Man: No Way Home's trailer has a quick reference/tribute to one of the original co-creators and artists of the iconic web-slinging hero. Steve Ditko was a comic book writer and artist who is known for co-creating the wall-crawler along with Stan Lee, as well as the sorcerer supreme himself, Doctor Stange.

The quick reference happens in the first moments of the Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer, when Tom Holland's Peter Parker is laying back on the rooftop with Zendayas' "MJ." During this moment, fans can spot the graffiti writing of "Ditko," which, of course, is the last name of the artist/writer.

Ditko's inspiration for getting into comics comes from the iconic DC superhero Batman. When he met with Stan Lee, they both developed the character of Peter Parker/Spider-Man, who is Marvel's most relatable character. He is always late, he has dating drama, he has family issues, he has self-doubt, he struggles to pay his bills on time, and he consistently is letting people down. Once he puts on the iconic mask, it's as if he's a different person and he succeeds far past human capabilities. Despite all of the things going wrong in his life, he's able to continue on and push through.

Peter Parker has become a very prominent character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), to the point that it's hard to believe he was once wasn't even a part of the film franchise. Spider-Man is known for his comic ability, witty nature, exceptional combat skills, and his nature of thinking on the fly by applying his scientific knowledge to solve any/every issue in front of him.

The Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer was released and fans have been going crazy for the long-awaited film. The trailer confirms the return of Doc Ock, who will be played by the same actor from the original Spider-Man 2, Alfred Molina. Fans also heard the laugh of the Green Goblin as a pumpkin bomb was being tossed onto a bridge.

The Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer has caused a huge amount of speculation, including fans thinking they've spotted Daredevil, Electro, the Lizard, and Sandman. It was also previously rumored that the original Spider-Man actors will be returning in this film, which means fans may see Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Holland on the screen at the same time.

Spider-Man: No Way Home will be in theaters on December 17th, 2021.
