Marvel fans have been scrutinizing the Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer since it dropped on Monday evening, looking for possible connections to other projects in the Marvel Cinematic Universe or the appearance of multiple versions of the titular character. But, some keen-eyed fans were focused on a mug that Doctor Strange is seen holding in the teaser trailer that reads, “Oh for [fox] sake.”

The word ‘fox’ isn’t printed on the mug, but there is instead an image of a little red fox that looks like it couldn’t harm any being. It’s quite obvious what word the animal is supposed to represent, and the explicit content on the cup has brought on a good laugh among Doctor Strange fans. The mug has gone viral on social media since the Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer premiered, with many users now looking to buy the same one.

In the past few hours, dedicated fans have found the mug on sale on several websites, including Amazon, and are now sharing links to help their peers secure the fox mug. Some fans already seem to own it and are now sharing side-by-side images of Doctor Strange’s and their own cups. With Benedict Cumberbatch's extremely popular character holding the mug in the trailer, it is bound to become a high-sale item online pretty soon.

Apart from the mug, fans found Doctor Strange’s entire appearance in the scene to be absolutely hilarious. Many are pointing out how his cape is draped over his winter coat, while he treks through his snow-covered home in big boots. He is seen sporting a Columbia University sweatshirt, which is very unlike his usual appearances in the previous MCU films.

Doctor Strange became an extremely important part of the MCU since his first appearance in 2016. At first, Stephen Strange seemed like an obnoxious personality, not ready to take orders from anyone. But, in the past five years, the Sorcerer Supreme has been through a lot and fought beside the Avengers to bring down Thanos.

When Peter Parker approaches him in Spider-Man: No Way Home, he seems to be having some downtime, which could explain his more casual appearance. Either way, fans are quite excited about the two heroes reuniting once again and are ready to see the adventures, potentially across the Multiverse, that they go on.

Spider-Man: No Way Home premieres in theaters on December 17, 2021.
