The Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer finally dropped earlier this week and has had fans raving about the upcoming film ever since. It even set a new record for the most global views on YouTube in its first 24 hours of being posted. A fan, however, decided to give the trailer an animated spin by using clips from the '90s Spider-Man: The Animated Series.

The video, shared by 100Bombs Studios, has already racked up more than half a million views on YouTube. Spider-Man fans have been appreciating how well the clips from the animated series fit in with the audio track from the original Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer. The same YouTube channel had previously shared animated recreations of trailers for Avengers: Endgame and Zack Snyder's Justice League.

Most of the footage in the video has been taken from the first episode of the animated series’ third season, titled “The Sins of the Fathers, Chapter I: Doctor Strange.” The episode, which was released in 1996, showed Peter Parker teaming up with Doctor Strange to fight Baron Mordo, a supervillain who has appeared in the Marvel comics, and rescue Mary Jane. It works perfectly, as Spider-Man will be seen teaming up with Doctor Strange in Spider-Man: No Way Home as well.

Some of the other footage includes clips from the final episode in the series, “Spider-Wars Chapter II: Farewell, Spider-Man." This was the episode where Spider-Man was seen teaming up with multiple Spider-Men from other dimensions to fight Spider-Carnage. There is a rumor that Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield will both be returning to reprise their role as Spider-Man from different dimensions or worlds in Spider-Man: No Way Home, considering the Multiverse has been activated. It is already confirmed that multiversal villains Doctor Octopus, Spider-Man 2's Alfred Molina, and Electro, The Amazing Spider-Man 2's Jamie Foxx, will be making an appearance.

The Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer showed fans the aftermath of Parker’s secret identity being revealed in 2019’s Spider-Man: Far From Home. After being arrested and interrogated for a crime that he didn’t commit, and facing backlash from the general public, Parker chooses to visit Doctor Strange and ask him to magically undo the events of Spider-Man: Far From Home. Of course, things don’t go as planned and the multiversal madness ensues.

Spider-Man: No Way Home premieres in theaters on December 17, 2021.
