Fans have been discussing possible theories ever since the first trailer for the highly-anticipated Spider-Man: No Way Home was released. Marvel Studios has now revealed a brand new poster that unleashes some Multiversal action and provides a small glimpse at the Green Goblin.

The new Spider-Man: No Way Home poster revealed by the studio offers a glimpse of Green Goblin, one of Spidey’s archnemeses, hovering on his Goblin Glider in the distance. The villain’s return was already teased in the first official Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer when one of his iconic pumpkin bombs is seen rolling onto a crowded highway. But, the new poster all but confirms his return, which has fans quite excited.

The new poster has started a thread of conversation among fans on social media, with keen-eyed viewers pointing out other details, or Easter eggs, in the artwork. Apart from Green Goblin, who is quite clearly visible, the poster features Doc Ock’s mechanical tentacles. But, that doesn’t come as a surprise to fans, as they have already seen Alfred Molina's Doc Ock in the trailer. There are some other interesting things in the poster, though, that have fans theorizing.

The running theory since the film was announced has been that the movie would follow a plot similar to Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, and potentially introduce multiple Spider-Men. But, along with the Variants of the fan-favorite hero, fans also expect to see some of the most iconic villains in the previous Spider-Man films return. These include Rhys Ifans as The Lizard and Thomas Haden Church as Sandman.

The new Spider-Man: No Way Home poster features some lightning bolts and blowing dust. It has already been confirmed that Jamie Foxx’s Electro will be appearing in the film, and the lightning could probably be symbolizing his character. On the other hand, fans are convinced that the dust featured in the poster is a hint towards the return of Sandman.

Some keen-eyed fans already claim to have spotted The Lizard in the Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer after enhancing one of the scenes where Tom Holland’s Peter Parker seems stunned after being attacked by individual hiding in the dark. Fans believe that the new poster is teasing the villains that may form the Sinister Six in the upcoming film. With Holland ready to take a break after Spider-Man: No Way Home releases, fans are looking forward to an epic send-off.

Spider-Man: No Way Home will premiere in theaters on December 17, 2021.
