Jake Gyllenhaal's Mysterio may have a huge role to play in Spider-Man: No Way Home set to premiere later this year. New merchandise suggests Mysterio will continue to cause a number of problems for Peter Parker.

Despite his apparent death in Spider-Man: Far From Home, Mysterio doesn't seem to be done terrorizing Parker just yet. The highly anticipated Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer hasn't arrived yet, but these images continue to build the buzz already surrounding this film.

Photos of the Mysterio sympathizer merchandise is doted with the phrase "We Believe Mysterio." There are two designs, both of which feature Mysterio's memorable fishbowl helmet in the center. The question mark is associated with the mystery previously surrounding Mysterio. The phrase is a reference to the shocking video from the Spider-Man: Far From Home post-credit scene where Quentin Beck, the man behind Mysterio, outed Parker as Spider-Man shortly before his death.

In the video, Beck also tells the world that Parker killed him in cold blood with the hope of becoming the next Iron Man. The Mysterio merch in these photos is meant for those who believe his confession. For those who are skeptical of Mysterio's confession, there's a combative piece of merch for those who believe Parker. It reads, "You Rock Peter Parker!" with the signature web shooting gesture. These images will likely be worn on t-shirts, printed on billboards, and painted on buildings to pit one side against the other. With the problems the Multiverse is set to bring, further conflict isn't ideal.

By the look of these Mysterio tags, Spider-Man may no longer be the favorite in Queens. Parker is not unaccustomed to staring down the face of adversity, but this is is entirely different. He's not only protecting the world and the heroic title of Spider-Man, but now has to include his real identity as Peter Parker and how the lives of those around him will change because that information has come to light.

Gyllenhaal's villain has not been announced to appear in No Way Home, but it's not to say that his presence will not be felt. This merchandise is enough to suggest that Mysterio will continue to play mind games with Parker beyond No Way Home. Other merchandise designs have revealed even more about the movie's story, with Peter wearing a new Spider suit adorned with Doctor Strange's magic. With the opening of the Multiverse, there's no telling what will happen.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is expected to release on December 17, 2021.
