For several gamers, Spider-Man was probably one of the best games of E3 2018 and one of the best-looking games releasing this year. Since its presence at E3 2018, several details have been divulged about the game, and here recently, Insomniac Games creative director Bryan Intihar revealed it won't have a full day or night cycle.

Responding to a fan question on Twitter about whether there would be a day or night cycle in the main story of Spider-Man or if it was only available in the endgame, Intihar simply stated that it won't be a feature. His reply was short and sweet, though there isn't much reason to go beyond that.

Based on Intihar's response, it seems likely that day and night in the main story may be tied to the events going on in the story, as it also seems players will be able to set whether it is day or night once the story is over. Nevertheless, check out the original question and Intihar's reply below:

While some may be disappointed in the lack of this cycle, it seems relatively small compared to the hype surrounding Insomniac's next title. Moreover, this isn't the only fan question Intihar has addressed, as he has also previously confirmed that The Fantastic Four's Baxter Building was not in the game. For those who were hoping for a Comic-accurate depiction of New York City, this may be much more disappointing than the lack of a day and night cycle.

However, just because Marvel's first family doesn't have a presence in the game doesn't mean other iconic Marvel characters will not. Shots of what appears to be Dr. Strange's Sanctum Sanctorum have made its way across the Internet, as well as an E3 promotional Daily Bugle suggesting allusions to Iron Man, The Avengers, and more, have shown that references to the comic world will still exist in the game. Nevertheless, we will see how this feature and these references influence the game when it launches in a few months' time.

Spider-Man will launch September 7, exclusively for PlayStation 4.
