Spider-Man: Miles Morales may be an incredibly polished game, but some minor bugs do appear from time to time. One such glitch has seen a Spider-Man: Miles Morales costume completely changing its appearance, with the entire suit becoming white.

While other Spider-Man: Miles Morales bugs provide unique angles on cutscenes or give the wall-crawler super speed, this bug is a simple color change for the Programmable Matter costume. This costume is unique for its ability to give the wearer any weapon they think of, and a finishing move sees Miles summoning Iron Spider legs to take out enemies. For those interested in the costume, and the glitch tied to it, the Programmable Matter suit can be acquired by completing a side mission after all the Underground Hideouts and Roxxon Labs are finished.

The clip showcasing the bug comes from Reddit user and Spider-Man: Miles Morales player MORTIS77DEATH. While swinging through New York City, they enter Miles’ invisibility mid-swing - something that seems to be the cause of the glitch. As soon as they exit the invisibility, the Programmable Matter suit is nowhere to be seen, with Miles being entirely white. Intriguingly, the white look remains while the player battles a group of enemies. Fans that look closely will see a few textures, such as an outline for the hero’s iconic eye lenses.

Miles is covered in white from head to toe, making for a look even more memorable than the Bodega Cat suit. While Peter has a few white costumes like Future Foundation and Sprit Spider, this is a first for Miles, as white differs greatly from the usual black and red theme. Obviously, this is not meant to be a proper costume, though the bug is still very cool. As for what players are really seeing, it would make sense if this is what the invisible character model looks like for Miles without the invisibility effects in place. This is purely speculation based on the apparent cause of the glitch, though.

Alongside 2,000 upvotes, many interested commenters were quick to compare the suit to other Marvel characters. For instance, Reddit user Alejopeth compared the bugged costume to Anti-Venom and Moon Knight - with the latter being a fun comparison since the two heroes have been combined into Arachknight in the comics. Perhaps the most interesting thing about the clip is how it ends, as after all the enemies are defeated and Miles strikes a pose, the costume returns to its normal look.

With Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 launching in 2023, fans still have a while to go back and play the first two games, sharing any odd bugs they stumble upon during their playthroughs. For fans of Spidey’s suits, though, this particular glitch will be tough to top.

Spider-Man: Miles Morales is available now on PS4 and PS5.
