Spider-Man: Miles Morales is almost here, as is the PlayStation 5 console that the game will be launching on. To celebrate, one creative fan has completely redesigned the PS5’s DaulSense controller, matching the color theme of Spider-Man: Miles Morales and throwing in the character’s logo and the game's slogan to boot.

Most players will be collecting the trophies within Spider-Man: Miles Morales with a normal black and white DualSense, but Redditor Symbiote81062 will be completing the game’s many tasks using a specially designed controller of their own making. The aptly named Spidey fan shared a video of the design to Reddit, highlighting all its features with the Spider-Man: Miles Morales theme playing in the background.

The controller, aside from sporting the classic red and black color scheme from Miles’ main costume, features the “Be Yourself” slogan from the well-reviewed Spider-Man game. Seen directly on the DualSense’s touchpad, the words stand out and really bring the look together. Another neat detail sees the PlayStation button painted red with the logo portion remaining black, making the PS logo stand out on the custom design. The glossy paint used for the rework adds a nice-looking shine to the controller as well, making it look stunning from every angle.

If that were not enough, though, the controller also sees a Miles Morales logo painted on its backside. Rather than being the Insomniac or comic book versions of Miles’ spider, however, the logo shows off the logo from Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse. Given the inclusion of the animated movie’s suit in Spider-Man: Miles Morales, complete with intentionally choppy animation to match the film’s style, the Spider-Verse logo appearing on the controller seems fitting.

With the highly praised DualSense controller already delivering from a mechanics perspective, this fan’s stylish custom design makes for the perfect controller to play Spider-Man: Miles Morales on. With Symbiote81062 focused on swinging through New York and not remaking Doom music with the DualSense controller, they should be very satisfied with the “5 days” of work that went into their design.

With Spider-Man: Miles Morales’ time to beat being close to 7-10 hours for main story players and 15 hours for completionists, this custom controller’s designer will get plenty of use out of the special DualSense. Hopefully, Sony takes notes on the fan-made rework, as there is no shortage of Spidey fans that would love a controller like this one.

Spider-Man: Miles Morales will be available on PS4 and PS5 November 12.
