The present information Sony and Insomniac have released regarding Spider-Man: Miles Morales gives credibility to a "leak" about the game that happened over nine months ago. The leak correctly predicted that Insomniac was working on a Spider-Man title that would have a fully playable Miles, and it also claimed that the game would be akin to that of an extensive, standalone DLC.

The leak also has other details behind it that don't have any confirmation from Insomniac or Sony. However, because it correctly predicted certain elements involving Spider-Man: Miles Morales, and because Miles Morales is still early-on in its promotional cycle, the "leak" may be worth revisiting for future reference. As with all things unofficial, however, this should be taken with a grain of salt.

The leak comes from a Redditor named Throwaway546632, who doesn't identify the source of their information. Beyond correctly guessing Spider-Man: Miles Morales' length, they suggest that Miles Morales — or a game incredibly similar to it — will tackle the symbiote storyline introduced at the end of Spider-Man PS4. They also say that a Venom-based "black suit" will be playable, as will a plethora of other new outfits.

It's unlikely Throwaway knew the "upcoming Spider-Man project" would focus on Miles, as that explains the new suits. Miles naturally wears different Spider-Man outfits from Peter, so a game focused on him would need to introduce an entirely new wardrobe of costumes for the player to pick from.

The second leak is where things get a little iffy. In Spider-Man PS4, the person bonded to Vemon happens to be very close to Peter, so it seems unlikely for the character's first appearance to be in a game centered on someone else. Then again, Peter's role in Miles Morales doesn't have any details yet. Peter could have a story that focuses on Venom's introduction, and his story could inevitably cross with Miles', leading to both characters fighting with the villain.

In regards to the black suit, it sounds like something geared towards Peter, as Miles has yet to receive a Venom-based black suit of his own. He's bonded with a piece of the Carnage symbiote before, but it didn't result in something akin to "Black Suit Spider-Man." So the black suit's playability depends on, again, just how big a role Peter will play in Miles Morales overall.
