Spider-Man: Miles Morales players wondering if the game would get some post-launch support like Marvel’s Spider-Man are in luck. Today, Insomniac revealed the first bonus suit for the leading man of Spider-Man: Miles Morales, and it is free to all players on both the PS4 and PS5.

While fans have been sharing plenty of amazing Spider-Man suit concepts, it is hard to beat an official design. With Miles Morales having a brief comic book history, as the character has been in action for less than 10 years, Insomniac needed to come up with several original designs to fill out a full suit lineup. The studio absolutely nailed this tough task, creating many iconic looks like Spider-Man 2020 and the Bodega Cat suit.

The game's latest suit is another original creation, and fans have known about it for some time now. Leaked via a line of Spider-Man: Miles Morales Funko Pops, the costume looks just as good in-game as fans had hoped it would. An interesting mix between armor and a traditional suit, the Advanced Tech costume stands out from the rest of the costumes that can be unlocked in-game. Some glowing white eyes like the 2099 suit stand out, with the outline being black like Peter Parker’s as opposed to Miles’ usual red eye outline. The large spider symbol design is also unique.

The arms of the suit are particularly interesting, as they stand out from the neck and body of the suit. Players can see where the armor ends, with the same also noticeable on the legs. Bits of red on the arms, hands, and feet fit with Miles’ color theme, while the red spider symbol extending to the hero’s shoulders is a nice touch. Though there is only a small bit of webbing on the mask and chest, it keeps the appearance of the webbing on most of Miles’ other alternate outfits.

A PlayStation 5 exclusive feature is also being added with the suit, as the latest update for Spider-Man: Miles Morales is adding “realistic muscle deformation” to the game. While Insomniac did not go into too much detail on how this feature would work, it can be assumed that players will be able to see Miles’ muscles flexing whenever he is pulling or lifting something. While this feature will only work on certain suits that are thin enough to expose Miles’ arms, it is a great touch that sees Insomniac taking full advantage of the PS5’s technology.

While it remains unclear if any Spider-Man: Miles Morales expansions will happen, it seems like players can at least expect some extra suits through free updates going forward. For those looking to swing through the city in the Advanced Tech suit, downloading the game’s latest update is all that needs to be done.
