With the release of both the PS5 and Spider-Man: Miles Morales less than one week away, Insomniac Games has started to inform fans of what to expect in terms of the upcoming game. With a decent amount of content present within Spider-Man: Miles Morales, it's important for potential consumers to know about some of the features included in the game ahead of its release, including accessibility options.

Within the last couple of weeks especially, Insomniac has revealed quite a lot of varied information over on Twitter, such as screenshots and even a trophy list for Spider-Man: Miles Morales, purposely omitting any hidden trophies for less than obvious reasons. The clear intent is to inform curious fans on what to expect from the game when it releases, but now Insomniac has provided a plethora of player accessibility options for players to choose from when first starting the game.

Over on Twitter, Insomniac Games put out a long, detailed list of accessibility options to help players out during gameplay. These options include eliminating quick time events, changing button taps to holds, a chase assist, an increased dodge window time, enhanced auto-aim, controller remapping, and puzzle hints among many more accessibility options mentioned in the Twitter thread.

It's important to note that these features are not applied right at the start of the game and can be adjusted at any point during the game, though the options can be adjusted before starting playing. These features are largely intended for players that need it and serve as a way of making the game as approachable as possible. The Twitter thread also directly references the inclusion of the Venom abilities.

Obviously, this has nothing to do with the character Venom, but is actually in reference to the electricity powers featured in screenshots and trailers for Spider-Man: Miles Morales. Not to mention the fact that there is a lighting bolt emoji right next to where the mode is initially mentioned. This power-up has been confirmed for quite some time, but it's nice to know that the ability can be toggled to a specific button.

In any case, it will be interesting to see what else the game has to offer when it finally launches. Another accessibility feature that was mentioned was the PS5 Dualsense controller's use of adaptive triggers. Insomniac informed players that this feature can be turned on or off at the player's preference. Ultimately, that is a large part of what makes the next generation of consoles so exciting: the ways in which next-gen tech can impact gameplay and user experience.

Spider-Man: Miles Morales is set to launch on November 12, 2020, for PS4 and PS5.
