San Diego Comic-Con is in full swing, which means all eyes are on Marvel, DC, and the other big names in the comic industry. From new movie trailers, to new tidbits about the popular heroes, Comic-Con is one of the best places to learn a little bit about the upcoming superhero franchises. Insomniac’s Spider-Man also made an appearance, and one familiar voice actor is officially confirmed to be part of the Spider-Man cast. Laura Bailey, one of the industry's most iconic voices, will be portraying Mary Jane in the highly anticipated game.

Fans will recognize Bailey’s work from many popular games including Nadine Ross in Uncharted 4 and Uncharted: Lost Legacy, Kait Diaz from Gears of War, and the unnamed character from the gritty The Last of Us: Part II trailer. This time, Bailey is taking on one of the most iconic characters from the Spider-Man franchise.

Mary Jane recently made an appearance in the San Diego Comic-Con trailer for Spider-Man, and following the release of the trailer, Bryan Intihar, Creative Director at Insomniac, sent out a tweet confirming that Bailey was indeed the voice of Mary Jane. Bailey joins the ever-growing cast of characters that will be aiding Spider-Man on his mission to round up all the villains and bring peace following the insane prison break that let loose many of Spidey’s most notorious enemies.

The Spider-Man story trailer wasn’t the only big announcement from Insomniac during Comic-Con. Insomniac also announced a limited-edition Spider-Man PlayStation 4 Pro. The Spider-Man Pro bundle comes with a snazzy Spider-Man themed PS4, exclusive Spider-Man controller, and a copy of the game. Sony is really stepping up their game when designing these themed PlayStations.

Both of the Comic-Con announcements are sure to leave Spider-Man fans even more excited for the upcoming game. Laura Bailey is one of the most popular voice actors in the industry at the moment, so her talents will certainly make the game even better.

Spider-Man launches September 7 exclusively on PlayStation 4.
