There are a lot of fun relationships between comic book characters. These range from Batman and Superman, Green Arrow and Green Lantern, Cap and Bucky, but there's one in particular that fans are hoping they get to see in the near future: Spider-Man and Daredevil. Specifically, Tom Holland's Spider-Man and Charlie Cox's Daredevil in the upcoming Spider-Man: No Way Home.
While it's in no way confirmed that Daredevil is appearing in Far From Home, the idea is exciting. But even if that doesn't happen, that doesn't mean fans will never get to see these characters interact with each other outside of a comic book. There are, after all, video games. While Daredevil currently isn't included in Sony's Spider-Man PlayStation franchise, there's nothing saying that he either can't be in the future, or that Sony can't have another series starring both characters.
Spider-Man and Daredevil's Similarities
What's particularly fun about the dynamic between Spider-Man and Daredevil is that they both go about superheroing very differently. Spider-Man is a wise-cracking teenager/young adult that rarely stops running his mouth. Daredevil isn't typically one for conversation, but he will beat those who need to be beaten to a pulp, probably past where Spider-Man would hit someone. All that said, their differences aren't what makes Spider-Man and Daredevil a great duo, that just makes for good banter; what makes them a good duo are the things that they have in common.
Both are generally down on their luck dudes going out and trying to make their city a better place. Spider-Man has a heavy dose of what he calls the "Parker luck," almost always having something good followed by something bad, and usually that bad has to do with his personal life. He cannot catch a break, but he keeps playing the good guy anyway because he has the power to do so. After all, he saw what happens when he doesn't: his uncle Ben died.
Daredevil might not seem like he's got many similarities to Spidey at first glance, but at his core, he actually does. Both Daredevil and Spidey had a father figure that was murdered, catapulting them into what they do. Neither of them do what they do because they have powers; both of them got their powers before they decided to be heroes. But a tragedy showed them that they can change their city for the better because of those powers.
For another point, while Daredevil doesn't quite have that "Parker luck," he certainly doesn't catch many breaks. Oftentimes, he finds himself in very similar situations to Peter, where saving someone as Daredevil severely inconveniences his life as Matt Murdock. Spidey and the ol' Hornhead could probably swap stories about this until the sun comes up.
Unique Co-op
And if these two were included in the same game, co-op with the two of them could be really interesting. Both of them have vastly different powers and fighting styles, and a well-designed game would force both players to use them drastically differently in order to survive. Spider-Man's Spider-Sense and Daredevil's Radar Sense have some vague similarities, allowing them to both sense danger that they can't see.
But apart from that, Daredevil would have a more grounded, martial arts fighting style, while Spidey would be flipping around webbing up enemies and jumping around everywhere. It could make for a very unique game; throw in a couple more characters, and it could be Marvel's take on Gotham Knights, still allowing Sony's Spider-Man series to stay unaffected.
