Spider-Man is swinging on to PlayStation 4 in just a few weeks and Insomniac Games is curbing the waiting period by releasing a handful of trailers to hype up the web-slinger's latest adventure. Today, Insomniac released a new trailer featuring a look at Spider-Man’s combat and at some of his newest abilities.

The latest trailer features J. Jonah Jameson and Peter Parker arguing over whether Spider-Man is a hero or a menace to the city, all while highlighting what the upcoming game has to offer. Just last week, a similar trailer was released showing off some of the real life locales that players will be able to traverse in the game.

In the trailer titled “Just the Facts,” we hear J. Jonah Jameson arguing that Spider-Man escalates violence in the city with his wide array of abilities unlike the actual police. The trailer shows some of the new ways that Spider-Man can bring “chaos” to the city with new fighting techniques including the use of sonic waves and holographic clones of himself while fighting enemies. Jameson also names a few of his other attacks including the use of “Spider-drones” that move about the playing field attacking enemies as well as a “Web-bomb” that explodes and engulfs enemies in a tangle of webbing.

In classic Spider-Man fashion, the debate over Spider-Man’s altruism between Jameson and Parker is heated. The trailer also takes a look at some of Spider-Man’s different costumes with Jameson claiming that his multiple suits are just a means to “feed his gigantic, insatiable ego.”

Peter argues that maybe Spider-Man wears different suits because they grant different abilities suggesting that the wide variety of suits in the game have different powers. Jameson also berates the use of his high-tech gadgets while Peter suggests that Spider-Man could possibly be making them himself as the trailer shows off what seems to be a weapon upgrade menu.

As previously mentioned, Insomniac has been releasing plenty of new footage of the game in recent weeks, and we will likely continue to see even more trailers up until launch. With all the new footage that has released lately, Spider-Man seems like it is shaping up to be one of the web-slinger’s best video game adaptations to date.

Even though we have seen plenty of Spider-Man video games in the past, the actual quality of the various titles has been somewhat a tangled mess. With Insomniac Games at the helm of his latest adventure, it looks like this year’s Spider-Man could finally give the hero the game that he has always deserved.

Spider-Man is coming September 7, 2018 exclusively to PlayStation 4.
