Could the upcoming Spider-Man: No Way Home feature a cameo from Daredevil? Marvel fans are entertaining the possibility after a casting call for the project hinted at a potential courtroom scene to be included in the story.

The casting call was posted on Facebook by Catrett-Locke Casting, an Atlanta-based company. It seeks actors between 2o and 60 years old to portray a stenographer and attorneys in an upcoming film vaguely listed as 'The November Project'. Several sources have confirmed that the Spider-Man threequel, which is also currently in production in Atlanta, has been operating under such a label. The casting call just so happened to coincide with other big Marvel updates, ultimately sparking rumors of a possible Spidey/Daredevil crossover in the works.

The clues are rather convincing. Aside from the casting call, it had recently been announced that Succession actor Arian Moayed will be playing a detective role in the film, which also hints at a potential courtroom scene. A trial for Tom Holland's Peter Parker would make sense after the events in Spider-Man: Far From Home, where he had been framed for the murder of Mysterio. In the film, Mysterio leaked altered footage of Peter's alleged crime to the Daily Bugle, leaving the people of New York City unsure on whether or not they should support the hero.

Should Peter Parker be put on trial, he will require legal representation. Since Matt Murdock, a.k.a. Daredevil, is a professional lawyer in the comic book lore, fans began to ponder the likelihood of the masked Defender entering the MCU to assist Spider-Man. The first clue came after rumors circulated that Daredevil Charlie Cox would reprise his role from the Netflix series in an MCU appearance. According to reports by ComicBook.com, Cox was indeed present on the set of Spider-Man 3 back in December of last year and had finished filming in mid-January.

What role he took up during filming remains a mystery; however, after the drop of another clue that revealed Marvel had successfully reobtained the rights to The Defenders from Netflix, fans are convinced Cox did suit up as the Hell's Kitchen vigilante for the film. With other revelatory casting confirmations such as the return of Alfred Molina's Doctor Octopus from Raimi's Spider-Man and Jamie Foxx's Electro from The Amazing Spider-Man, perhaps it's not a total stretch to think Marvel has plans to introduce Cox's Daredevil into the MCU through Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Marvel recently took to social media to reveal the film's official title. The studio included a short, 31-second clip showing Tom Holland walking out of director Jon Watts' office with his co-stars, Zendaya and Jacob Batalon discussing possible titles for the film before an eventual camera-pan to a whiteboard reveals the official title.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is set to release in theatres on Christmas Day, 2021.
