Soulcalibur 6 was released last month to fans who were anticipating another great weapon-based fighting game. It is safe to say, the game delivered a classic Soulcalibur experience while adding some depth to the franchise. Yet the team behind the game aren't resting, as season 2 is coming very soon along with new characters, items, and moves.

Soulcalibur has been a beloved franchise since its inception in 1995, under the title Soul Edge. Since then, the games have managed to keep relevant with an interesting story and engaging fighting mechanics. This impressive legacy looks like it will continue in season 2 of Soulcalibur 6, with Hilde returning to the game. Many will remember the character from her first appearance in Soulcalibur 4.

The season 2 trailer showcases Hilde who is an available character on November 26th. The season begins on this date and it is also offering Haohmaru from the famous Samurai Shodown series along with an unannounced character who is set to arrive later in the season. These additions build on Soulcalibur 6's already impressive character roster and many will be keen to see who the mystery fighter will be. There are also items for character customization for those who do not want to play as set characters.

The new items available are the Crown Princess helm, armor, attire, and footwear. There are also new creation sets available. On top of that, there are two new stages for players to inhabit. These are the Silver Wolves’ Haven and the Grand Labyrinth – Sealed Corridor which is only available in training mode.

Bugs in the game will also be patched with the update, which should make the experience of all this new content more enjoyable for players. Unfortunately, for players with replays of combos that are on the same level as the scenes of Soulcalibur 6's first championship, they will no longer be able to play the videos after the update.

The new season introduces a plethora of new battle moves for every character. With these updates, it looks like the initial praise given to Soulcalibur 6 is set to continue. Whether fans want to try a new character in the new season or customize their own, there seems to be plenty of content in season 2. Many will hope to get to grips with the new moves quickly so that they can claim victory and bask in the glory.

Soulcalibur 6 is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
